Review of Elizabeth Blue (2017) by Emily K — 01 Oct 2017
Their is a scene in this film about half way in that will make you sob your eyes out. It is when Elizabeth's Psychiatrist Played by (Adewale from Lost) is speaking about love.
I nearly lost it, Thank goodness I had tissues in my purse.
Anna Schafer and Adewale are brilliant on screen. The chemistry between them is so realistic you feel like you are eavesdropping on a therapy session that you should not be a part of.
Both deserve major accolades for these heartbreaking performances. This film could be a dark horse in a year of film that has been flat.
The director Vincent Sabella put his heart into this film and these characters. He deserves recognition to the fullest, along with Ms. Schafer and Adewale. Such an eyeopening film with amazing performances from the entire cast. My vote is in. Just a beautiful touching film that I am still thinking about. I cannot wait to receive my SAG screener.
Thank you so much for creating a film with meaning and not another stereo type of what mental illness is.
