I have been waiting to write a review on this since I had seen at a festival in Florida.

This film has such a unique take on mental illness in a way I personally never seen before. The Film maker Vincent Sabella deserves many accolades for his work.

The film never felt cliche nor did it ever become boring. Its cinematography was extremely well thought out. The music makes you smile and cry all at the same time.

As we know Dramas have a tendency to be slow and not that interesting Elizabeth Blue is none of those. This film has stuck with me since seeing it and it has been months. I'm so happy this film is being received well. I hope it comes back to Florida, I would love to take my wife to see it. Simply a wonderful film. On a side note The lead actress who is also the title character will leave you with so many emotions. Her performance reminded me of classic actresses of the early days. Ones who did't think and just acted. I have looked her up since seeing Elizabeth Blue. Her name is Anna Schafer and up until this point she had done nothing to write home about. This based on the fact after I seen her in this film I had to watch her other work. Not that she was bad, but not well directed at all and the films are, well not worth mentioning.

Being a high school drama teacher, and someone for many years who tried his hand on stage. I know work will gets you work. it may be an old saying, but true. So no wonder Ms Schafer was just taking anything handed to her. I tell my students just get work if your lucky enough to act and find material that speaks to you that is a huge opportunity for you to shine and possible be a standout. Fully open yourself up to your director. Whether if you decide to move forward with acting on stage or screen be open and honest, communicate. Its extremely important. Their was a trust between this filmmaker and his actors. It's seen in the performances. all of in my opinion are simply magnificent. I will continue to check the social media pages to see if and when Elizabeth Blue will becoming back to Florida. Wonderful film, simple Wonderful.
