Review of Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010) by Ol R — 16 Sep 2011
Couldn't have had my expectations blown away more perfectly! Definitely a movie you'll want to see on the big screen (very unlikely, sadly) it's easier to describe what was right about this movie, than it's flaws, considering that there are none. Each moment segues perfectly into the next, even if the focus of the story shifts, the transition and pacing are handled absolutely sublimely by director Padilha. Awesome action, incredible acting, compelling drama, scathing political commentary, ruthlessly intelligent story.
Also, Wagner Moura is the Brazilian De Niro.
