Review of Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010) by Chris B — 11 Mar 2012
Pretty good thriller that for me didn't really get all that intense and personal. The whole time watching this film I thought that it was fairly good yet I felt detached from it the entire time, I never felt a connection with any of the characters so when some emotional scenes appeared throughout the film I didn't really care. The film gives some insight to the corruption and extreme poverty existing within Brazil today.
Overall, it's a good film yet I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're a fan of the genre; so if you're a fan of action films or militia type films definitely check it out. Also if you're a Call of Duty fan or something since it shows many scenes within Brazilian favela.
