Review of Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010) by Paul P — 08 Apr 2012
A very solid follow up to Elite Squad, with more of a focus this time on the police themselves.
From the opening sequences with Nascimento about to fall under attack to the jail riots, this is a pretty gripping film which examines corruption and power. The action sequences are visceral and the plot is relatively simple for viewers who pay attention.
Great characters and story, this trip back into Rio's favella's is pretty great.
