Review of Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010) by David O — 08 Apr 2013
Brace yourself, this is not an action movie set in the favelas, but plays like a political thriller with a heavy dose of Polanski's China Town. The brutal spectre of corruption on show here makes L.A Confidential and Training Day look like Cagney and Lacey.
A powerful movie and one that doesn't pull any punches, but be warned the punches are more of the political power play variety then all out guns blazing.
