The strongest brazilian movie since "City of God", "Elite Squad" is amazing. The Golden Bear winner is absurdly violent and brilliantly directed by José Padilha with original takes from Rio`s favelas.
Wagner Moura deserved more recognition as Cap. Nascimento. His acting shocks the viewer. We actually believe that he is the tormented, anguished and centered Nascimento. "Elite Squad" is the best brazilian movie of the year and created a buzz, being described as reactionary in some critics opinion.
