Review of Elite Squad (2007) by Gabriel K — 12 Jun 2009

Wow! What a roller-coaster, eye-opener and violence-filled ride. Although there are a lot of comparisons to the excellent City of God from a few years back, for example the screenwriter contributed for both films, this one feels a bit more like a documentary and therefore closer to capturing the true essence of what it feels like staying alive in the cities like Rio - told from a point of view of a cop.

Outstanding film, although not necessarily easy to digest.
