Well I don't know what the critics seeing, most of the vote like this movie and it is for a reason. This movie is like watching the city of God in other perspective. It shown us the complete story of city of God background.
It's not as good as City of God but I feel that this need to be watched as a fan of city of God. Being the police did not mean fight the criminal, but also fight another corrupt police. The sense of place is exactly the same as City of God.
I like this movie.
