Review of Elite Squad (2007) by Tuukka P — 29 Sep 2011
A hard look at the elite Brazilian police force who uphold the law in the Favelas (Slums) of Rio. Although sharing a lot of elements with City Of God this is definitely inferior film with a somewhat strange structure and an annoying voice over.
The cruel brutality of slums and the means needed to enforce it are shown quite honestly.
