Review of Elite Squad (2007) by Blaise F — 20 May 2012
Surprised by the amount of self proclaimed "film critics" that completely misunderstood the film's message. The film didn't even come close to suggesting that military police forces were a necessary and viable route in solving the worst of Brazil's problems -- as mistakenly spewed by this site's "top" critics; in fact, the film ends with the main character advising the government to dissolve the military police force.
I guess explicit messages directly from the film are a bit too obvious for the most enlightened of film critics... Don't forget to check up your ass for "hidden" messages.
