Review of Elite Squad (2007) by Brian A — 04 Aug 2012
The Tropa de Elite movies are top movies and must see. My girlfriend and I watched them together and were pull into these movies and flelt dragged around the streets of Rios slum (watched it on 55" with Bose surround ).. a true one of a kind experience and I cant remember when we had such a good movie experience the last time.
No american polish - just a damn good thriller and we want more! To be fare we watched number 2 (enemy within) before the number one however, they both are remarkable movies visually, soundwise and the story keeps you hanging on the end of you couch while watching. Personally, as a 'euro' movie fan, I'd prefer Tropa De Elite over The Dark Knight Rises and rank the movie in same category as The Dark Knight.
