Elf occasionally has some uneven moments but Will Ferrell's performance, plenty of laughs and even a little bit of charm to it make it a better-than-average Christmas movie in one of Ferrell's most unforgettable roles to date.
..and that unforgettable role is in one of his more family-friendly offerings.
