Review of Elephant (2003) by Mat C — 21 Jul 2010
Brilliantly shot but fell a little short for me because of lack of story and character development. We didn't get to know any of the characters enough for me to care whether or not they get shot. The pure distance we feel for the characters I think defines the shooters point of view and maybe that was the whole point of the movie.
The film is a very strange experience as the shots are so long and the film is so short but either way, I don't regret watching and I recommend checking it out, however this is not a film I will be revisiting anytime soon.
