High school is hell and Elephant understands that, even up to the last couple of minutes. And even as pretentious as it may be, it's still a work of art. Hell, that's really all that it is. It feels slow even for its short length, and those long and deliberate tracking shots will have you grinding your teeth in frustration, but in the end, it sort of captivates you, leaving you to ponder about your old high school days and the things you did, good or bad.
