Review of Elephant (2003) by Stacy K — 04 Dec 2008
This has been a favorite of mine since the first viewing. It is an important film for people to watch, it is full of truth and beauty, disrupted by violence and horror. The viewer meets a handful of students on a regular day at school that soon turns in to a devastating nightmare.
While the camera keeps us seperated from the characters by following them from behind, there is still an extremely personal aspect to each character met. This could very well be Van Sant's masterpiece.
A must see!
