A fictional story set in high- school about school shootings. We see a buch of students on a normal school day and how they go about their lives, only to discover that day is not a normal school day at all.

The postive point about the movie is that it shows how a seemingly normal day can go terribly wrong. The negative point is that for an 80 minute film,it felt like a lifetime. God knows why Van Sant tried to be "artistic" with his filming by showing lingering shots of student walking in hallways that goes on endlessly.

Van Sant focuses on a bunch of high-school characters for the film (the bulimic girls, the high school jock, the two would-be shooters, etc) but by the end of the film, I did not care for any one of them.

Why? Well there was nothing to care about really based on what we're given. And when it comes to the inevitable ending, you just wonder the point of this whole movie. Majority of the reviews of this film are positive, mabye because of its filming "style" or whatever, but for me I got from bored to fustrated because I expected so much more and all I got was the urge to sleep.
