Review of Elephant (2003) by Matthew R — 28 Mar 2010
This film captures the true sense of security that we have in our day to day lives. With scores of uninterrupted shots, this incredibly intense, albeit slow paced film fleshes out all kinds of characters with different insecurities.
It's.. really hard to recommend, because it is so depressing, but surely worth watching if only for that feeling of reality. Because of the truth behind situations like this, the subject matter can be hard to swallow.
Trying to gain an understanding of things like this is fascinating to me though.
