Review of Election (2005) by Erin S — 18 Apr 2009
A black comedy gem from the late '90's based on Tom Perrotta's dark, satirical novel. Tracy Flick is the annoying over-achiever who is running for student council prez and Mr. McCallister is the good-guy teacher who decides to meddle with the democratic process--and ends up soundly punished for it.
I find myself rooting for Tracy, who, despite her irritating personality, is a girl who knows what she wants and knows how to get it.
