Review of Election (2005) by Adrian D — 07 Aug 2009
Alexander Payne's sharp satire doesn't have a particular target, and while this keeps it from having any real significance, it is somewhat admirable and the resulting film is very, very smart and effective.
Chris Klein gives probably the film's best performance, with a shrug-it-off attitude that, I think, may reflect Payne's real point.
