Review of Election (2005) by Lasse C — 21 Aug 2014
Even with Alexander Payne's perfect presentation of the high school experience, the first two thirds of the movie seem like something you would have as a background movie at a social event. The movie only gets engaging in the last third.
There is humor scattered throughout, but it's neither consistent nor memorable. Having said that, the script is well-written and Matthew Broderick's performance as the teacher really sheds light on the truth about teachers that most students might not see.
