It's very rare that you can say a sequel is better than it's predecessor, but in this instance it is definitely the case. Far more dramatic, and maybe over the top at times (in a good way). The scene with the dogs makes me sick to the stomach, but it's genius.
That scene would not make it into a Western gangster film.
