This film is more violent than the first Election, but I prefer the first one for screenplay and acting.
Nominated for 5 HK Film Awards including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Supporting Actors for Nick Cheung and Simon Yam. Won HK Film Critics Society Awards for Best Picture.
The film was shown Out of Competition (midnight screening) at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. The film was shown in Grand Theatre Lumiere, the most prestigious theater at Cannes.
