Review of Elaine Stritch: Shoot Me (2013) by Kyle B — 02 Jul 2014
This is an excellent film for all. Even if you aren't familiar with Elaine's work, this documentary will make you fall in love, or re fall in love with her within the first five minutes. In her late 80's, Elaine still has it.
She is so funny and sassy and this movie will make you laugh alot. It also has some really beautiful and heart breaking moments. This has got to be the most entertaining and best portrait documentary since Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, my favorite documentary of all time, and this is going up there as well.
It would be lovely if this movie could get a Best Doc nomination come award season. Elaine has definitely earned it.
