Review of El Topo (1970) by Broderick P — 15 Jan 2010
El Topo is one of the best flims I have ever seen. A strange tale of a lone gunfighter on an odissy thru the life and death of Jesus with a dose of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam mixed in. Many would find this film blasphemous at best, but of one were looking for an abstract view on religon this flim will more then satisfy.
A strong amount of blood (being that the film was shot in 1970 makes it seem comical by today's standerds) some nudity, and a whole lot of weird fliming and conditions make it a strange but beutiful 2 hours to sit thru.
A must see for any open minded thick skined fan of strange films.
