Review of El Topo (1970) by Ryan G — 15 Mar 2010
This is the one film in my collection of DVDs that upon people seeing it's cover, they ask "What's this?". After seeing they ask me "What did I just see?".
Of course not many have seen this amazing film. It only came back to the spotlight after being included in the documentary "Midnight Movies: From Margin to Mainstream". You will have never seen anything quite like it's weirder than even "Eraserhead" or "Pan Labrynth" (which is the only movie to come even CLOSE to this). This is the weirdest, strangest film ever made with the possible exception of "Un Chein Andalou".
