Review of El Mariachi (1993) by Aaron V — 13 Nov 2007

Here's why this gets a four stars, as a movie, I wouldn't normally rate it that high but the plot is original and quirky, and it works, plus, this movie was made for under 7,000 dollars, and Rodriguez did the absolute best he could.

If you watch this keeping the budget in mind, you should like the movie. To me, it inspires me to go out a make a film of my own. The plot in this movie is better than it's sequel, Desperado, but for what Desperado lacks in plot, it makes up for in action.
