Review of El Mariachi (1993) by Citizen P — 15 Jul 2011
El Mariachi, being low budget and without known actors, was the better than its sequel, Desperado. The plot is a case of mistaken identities. There were plot holes, like how did the mariachi know how to handle weapons so well, but the story was fresh and the acting was heartfelt. Even though I had to watch it in Spanish with subtitles, you could feel the expressiveness the actors gave in their roles.
