Review of El Dorado (1966) by Dylan D — 27 Apr 2006
I was surprised when I saw that this movie was made by Howard Hawks because I just wonder how many times he and John Wayne have done a movie together. This didn't really seem like Howard Hawks did his best though because I've seen how well he did on Rio Bravo and Red River.
John Wayne was again fantastic, and this was a perfect role for him. I had never heard of Robert Mitchum before this but he was really good playing a drunk. This really is a very good movie. John Wayne hardlly ever dissapoints me because he usually always has a big gunfight at the end.
I highly recommend this movie if you're a big western fan. You won't be dissapointed.
