Review of El Cid (1961) by Justin O — 16 May 2008
I have never seen a film that contains so much movement in its drama. With such a number of things happening all the time - characters go from loving to hating each other, being prisoner to the king's right hand man, etc.
- the entire story is like an immense action sequence. The pure selflessness of El Cid is truly inspirational. He is a hero worth admiring.
