Review of El Cid (1961) by Russell G — 08 Jun 2008
This one surprised me a bit. Not as stilted as I suspected it would be, it played as much like a human drama as a sweeping epic. don't get me wrong, it is a sweeping epic, Chuck brings a real human aspect to his role, which is weird as he's typically a bit over the top.
Good stuff, and beautiful to look at.
