Review of El Cid (1961) by Damien G — 28 Feb 2008
A classic epic on a similar level to ben hur. the character of el cid is a little too perfect, particular the ending in which he glows white and single handedly routs the enemy. still heston is strong as the stiff but noble knight, and the scope of the film lends to el cid as a legend more than a historical figure.
