Review of El Cantante (2006) by Ileana V — 05 Aug 2007
This is how my mind works for explanations sometimes: a level of dysfunction from American Beauty, a salsa version of Selena, with a dab of Alpha Dog. Overall, a great movie; also, to a certain level, what the Beatles were to Americans, the Fania All Stars were to Latinos during this time.
As always JLo needs to stay in front of the camera NOT a microphone, and I have issues w/Marc, but I'll give him credit. He did a great job w/the acting and I can't deny the man's ability to sing.
