Review of El Cantante (2006) by Rags M — 09 Nov 2007
Dir. Leon Ichaso has a predilection for self destructive artists like Piñero and now Hector. The acting, cinematography, editing and singing is top notch, but the story seems to be bogged down with never ending voice overs and countless montages.
At the end of the film, one still does not quite empathize with any of these coked up characters.
