Review of Einstein and Eddington (2008) by Robert D — 15 Sep 2010
This film discussed the theme of religion and science, and the finding of a balance between. Eddington is anti-war, believing in a Christian God and finds it difficult to accept his loss of a friend in the war. Einstein is free-spirited agnostic, believing that there is no way for man to encounter a God, and objects to the involvement of science in the cruelty of war. What links these two scientists are the firm enthusiastic pursuit for truth, religious or scientific, patriotic or controversial.
It says a lot about opening one's mind, to even the ideas of the enemy, of the different, and of the opposites.
