Review of Eight Miles High (2007) by Carl W — 22 Mar 2009
Another try from the german cinema to recreate the turbulent 60's social and political high times through the live of Uschi the super model. In two hours is squezzed lot of infos which resulted in shallow and underdeveloped situations.
There are some problems in the concept: beside interesting times and character's which in their kookiness hold this movie interesting, lot of the acting is average on the egde of pathetic. Also we get lot of nudity shots of Natalie (which is most beatiful), but a little insight in her mind, so instead rausing up, the constant nudity kills of the question that was there ever something? A no brainer biography with intereseting historic elements and of course Natalie, but nothing more.
