This movie tells the tale of a small town in Arizona that is going broke due to the infeasibility of it's mines, their former main source of revenue. To try and save the town from extinction the mayor allows companies to dump toxic waste on town property.

When a mishap sees a barrel of waste end up in a pond near the town wacko's spider farm, strange things begin to happen to the insects inhabiting said pond. The crickets taken from the pond to feed the spiders transfer the toxic waste's properties and ends up turning them in to, well .

. . giant eight legged freaks! What unfolds afterwards is an hour of bliss, with giant spiders chasing and killing the town residents faster and faster as they become bigger and badder. It is up to Chris, the son of the mine's former owner who just returned to town after a 10 year absence, his love interest the town sheriff Samantha, and a small host of other town residents to repel the arachnid aggressors and escape with their lives.

This is just one of those really fun adventure movies along the lines of a Gremlins or Critters, that is just so ridiculously funny and addictive you can't look away! The pace is fast, the effects are great, and the acting is exactly what you expect from David Arquette and Co .

. . bring on the next Scream!! I actually watched this on Peachtree TV one night last week and they replayed it again right after the first showing . . . I watched it twice! This movie is great fun, for those out there not limited by the smallness of their minds.
