I am a B-movie fan, but this was trying too hard to capture the feel without succeeding. The story is majorly lame, the acting is laughable and the spiders are more ridiculous looking than frightening. Why set out to give a movie a B-movie feel when you could just save yourself some money by making a B-movie? The movie is worth noting for the early Scarlett Johansson role, as well as bringing back memories for those old enough to remember Kari Wuhrer from Remote Control in the very early days of MTV. For me, I just couldn't get into it - I fell asleep twice while watching it.
