Review of Eight Below (2006) by Marcd. — 18 Feb 2006
Just a heart-warming movie that's a pleasure to watch. Paul Walker is excellent in this kind of role, and unlike many movies of this kind, they don't set up "the bad guy" like I thought they would have.
And the dogs are incredible! I was a little puzzled, however, by the fact that the line from the preview that went something like: "Don't ever underestimate somebody's will to survive..
.Especially when he's with his family" (referring to the dogs) - didn't even make the final cut of the film! I kept waiting for it. just a really solid film. And to my great surpise, like in Final Destination 3, there is one jump out of your seats moment that will scare the crap out of you, so keep a solid grip on that popcorn.
