Review of Eggs (1995) by Tor M — 16 Nov 2010
From the very first scene you know what you will get: two slow, old men in old fashioned surroundings. Most shots are long and there is not much happening here. This does not mean that the film is boring - ah well, OK then, but for me it's a great film. It captures the lives of the odd and old brothers in a way that makes it very trustworthy. When Konrad arrive the film get a small tension lift - something is happening. Pa and Moe's lives will change, and we're about to witness the slowly evolving change.
For me this film is a good film since it is different. The plot is interesting and there is a fun undertone the entire playtime. It's a drama comedy with terrific acting shot in a great way. Still, this is probably not for everyone and it's understandable that some people might find it boring.
