Review of Edward Scissorhands (1990) by Jack B — 08 May 2012
Possibly Burton's best film, this offbeat and gothically exemplary fantasy is simply majestic filmmaking. Depp is astounding in the lead and Burton achieves just the right tone, blending utter sadness and charming comedy, all elevated by a wonderful Elfman score and alluring visuals.
The climax is one of the most touching climaxes in cinema.
