Review of Edward Scissorhands (1990) by Les E — 27 May 2013
The story is about an inventor played by Vincent Price who was going to invent his biggest invention yet, an alive person named Edward played by Johnny Depp. Unfortunately, the inventor died before completing his masterpiece and Edward was left with scissors for hands.
When a local from a town named Peg played by Dianne Wiest finds him and takes him home, he quickly grows fame as a local celebrity but then things take turn for the worst when Kim played by Winona Ryder who is dating Jim played by Anthony Michael Hall and is Peg's daughter is drawn by Edward causing Jim to pick on him and making Kim leave her.
Another one of Tim Burton's most creative films, the score, the casting, the story and the overall plot and direction is just great. Edward Scissorhands gets a 9.7/10.
