Review of Edward Scissorhands (1990) by Martin R — 11 Jul 2013
When I was a kid, I was always puzzled when I'd walk into movie stores (this was before F.Y.E took over) and see the cover of 'Edward Scissorhands.' I couldn't figure out if it was a thriller or a horror film and I never looked into it until I had finished middle school or so and I liked it.
Having bought the film (when Blockbuster was around) I still liked it but I wasn't exactly impressed. I watched it again on 7/11/13 and I was in awe--touched, as I often am. Danny Elfman's score not only captivates its audience but it also disperses magic from the screen.
It is excellent in every way.
