Review of Edmond (2006) by Matt K — 12 Nov 2007
William H Macy is brilliant as the scumbag Edmond Burke and there are some enjoyable cameos (Mantegna, Stiles, Dylan Walsh) but Mamet's dialogue is too forced and frankly racist. And the film, despite it's 79 min run time is not focused.
It doesn't succeed as the dark Falling Down that it is trying to be.
