Review of Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Anna B — 16 Feb 2015

Does pretty much everything right for an action movie, especially in the great setup, which manages to be fun, compelling, and surprising even if you're aware of pretty much the entire premise as I was.

It does lose some of its intrigue around the time of Noah Taylor's massive exposition dump, and the third act is a little generic, but it never loses its energy. Liman is in top form, and those aliens are incredible.

A shame that a smart and entertaining big-budget movie has to be seen as a box office failure. They're so rare.
