Review of Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Joey V — 16 Feb 2015

A fun action thriller that feels fresh and interesting. The Sci-fi version of groundhog day if you will and by no means is that a bad thing. Emily Blunt is very good in this movie and I actually do lose Tom Cruise in his character, which does not happen very often.

It is sufficiently sprinkled with comedic moments that really work. The design for the aliens looks great and the visuals are quality. The only glaring negative I have is the plot devices the movie used to explain the time elements did not really work but this is not enough to detract from the enjoyment I got from this movie.

This is a movie that will suffer at the box office from its incompetent marketing campaign when it really shouldn't, go see this movie you will not be disappointed.
