Perfect example of what happens when marketing totally ruins the potential of a great Sci-fi film. Nothing from the trailers captured the tone and levity of the picture. Tom Cruise delivers another memorable performance of the genre and Emily Blunt lights up the screen everytime shes on the screen.
The chemistry is intact and the humor is overall perfectly utilized. On the down note the alien species or whatever they were aren't incredibly interesting or the explanation of why he's able to relive the same day, but that can be tossed aside by the sheer awesomeness.
The third act wears a little thin at times not entirely leaving a satisfied taste in my mouth as far as outcomes. For all its faults the style, tone and strong performances by Cruise and Blunt elevate Edge of Tomorrow or Live.
Die. Repeat or whatever they want to call it due to the marketing's inability to even get that straight, were left with a memorable Sci-fi romp that delivers stylized fun anyone can enjoy.
