Review of Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Kyle C — 27 Jul 2015
Ok, well now I'm torn, because this was exactly what I thought that it would be, but does that make it good or bad? I don't know. Is it loud? YES. Is it long? YES. Is Tom Cruise fantastic in it? YES.
Is it good? YES. Is it bad? YES. It's War of the Worlds crossed with Starship Troopers crossed with Groundhog Day. The story is extremely full of information so you have to pay attention, because if you don't, there's no tomorrow, lol.
Tom Cruise is at the top of his game as usual and he is very capable to carry a movie like this which he does, but he can also get lost in a movie like this, which he also does. This is one of the hardest movies in awhile for me to review because I don't know if I liked this or hated it but I do say one thing, Tom Cruise has broken the world record for dying in a movie.
There is also some very good comedic timing by Cruise as well. It pretty much comes down to a coin toss but this is so in the middle that the coin would land on it's side and stand straight up. I will say RECOMMENDED for Tom Cruise fans and Sci-Fi fans, and SKIP for everyone else.
Sorry, that's the best I can do.
