Review of Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Yasemin Y — 28 May 2017
This film was so much fun to watch. The action and special effects were awesome and the premise never got boring, as the writers often introduced plausible dangers and limits to the "repeat" concept.
Emily Blunt delivers a strong female lead with reserved emotions and feelings of desperation. Tom Cruise was outstanding, his character's growth in the film from smug and unlikable to seasoned, wise, and stoic, gives you a satisfied feeling of completion for his story arc.
Bill Paxton's appearance is bittersweet, as he once again shows how great he can be as a character actor, and how much he'll be missed. This film delivers on every level, and definitely deserves a sequel.
