Review of Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Tehace — 20 Nov 2015

Im sorry I just wanted to chim in on the comment I have found in the review for this movie.

"This is one of the dumbest movies I have ever seen in my entire life. If I am playing a video game and I am stuck and have to play the same part over and over it gets ANNOYING. To the point that either I beat it pretty quick or I quit playing the game because it ceases to be entertaining, or fun at that point. So if a movie was going to emulate that concept why the heck would I want to watch it.".

I haven't seen such missed analogy in a long time, guess that's what come out of checkpoint generation. Now imagine for a second that the game is really hard and you have only ONE life, otherwise the game resets and you start everything all over again. You have to master the mechanics as your 'final' run needs to be flawless, guess that could count as an achievement but not by today's standards... it feels like whole hotline miami on one life.

As for the movie itself I liked the concept and although it seem basic it felt refreshing and intriguing at points. Really felt like the execution was really on point.
